Mindful Soul Walk

So you take the dog for a walk, or the dog takes you everyday! You do exercise and power walk – fabulous…..but when was the last time you did a Soul Walk?

“Soul is fundamentally a biological concept, defined as the primary organizing, sustaining and guiding principle of a living being” words from Bill Plotkin.

A true soul walk is a spiritual quest to the lesser parts of self but in this day and age, walkabout and initiation into the mystery is not something we do everyday and is not for the faint hearted.

For the purpose of this article we are taking a more everyday approach to mindful soul walking; something we can do everyday wherever we are. This too is a very different type of walk. A mindful walk, slowing down every footstep with mindful action, allowing you to move into a state of soul love as you set the pace for your day and life.

To truly make your soul part of your daily life you need to have a way of working with your soul. You can start that relationship by taking your soul for a walk and I personally love to do that early in the morning upon waking.

I sound a note, my personal vibratory note that resonates with my soul. Everyone has one and you already know which note that is. Its the one you automatically OM to! Don’t doubt it, just sing it and call your soul to you!

Then start your walk……….your soul is always ready to go for a walk with you.

As you walk, you are creating a mindful intent. An intent to link with your soul and blend. By being mindful of your intent and breath circulating around your heart centres (crown, heart and solar plexus) you can begin to feel more present. Even just imagining what it feels like to experience soul love oftentimes can make you feel more expansive and larger than you are and can help the movement of your chakras.

You can do this at various times of the day, in fact, anytime doing anything, not just meditating.

Another way is to walk a labyrinth. A slow meditative mindful walk to relax and balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain and release all that is no longer needed for our journey. It is a way to see the metaphors of our life and reflect on those sparks of intuition and guidance that arise whilst walking. Knowing that every labyrinth walk is a way to find yourself and is unique to you.

Viewing your life from your souls perspective you can ask the question “what is my purpose today?” Maybe you want to ask “How can I serve you more today”. Then let whatever rises to the surface, or whatever you feel, to show itself. Breathe into it, be aware and let it go, but take that reflection back home with you.

Your soul only sees LOVE, your perfection and your grace.

When you walk mindfully this way often, you will begin to see your life in a new way. Mindful walking is a way that we can spiritually grow. A beginning – a way to pilgrimage to the soul.
